Rock Hill is a dynamic community that combines hometown charm with big-city amenities, providing plenty of ways for visitors to enjoy their spare time. Enjoy the beautiful Glencairn Garden and Fountain Park. Pack in a day of ziplining or archery tag at Camp Canaan. Explore the trails at many of our parks, including the Rock Hill Outdoor Center at Riverwalk along the scenic Catawba River. Pack a picnic and spend the day on one of our great playgrounds, like those at Manchester Meadows or Cherry Park.

Focused on sports and outdoor recreation, Rock Hill hosts tens of thousands of visitors from around the world each year for BMX, cycling, soccer, tennis, lacrosse, softball, baseball and even quidditch events. Rock Hill welcomes local, collegiate, regional, national and international competition at its many parks and facilities.
Rock Hill’s Novant Health BMX Supercross Track is located in a dynamic riverfront community focused on cycling. The Rock Hill Outdoor Center features an Olympic- caliber BMX track and velodrome, mountain bike trails, criterium course and planned cyclocross course. When complete, Rock Hill will be the only cycling destination in the United States featuring permanent facilities for all five cycling disciplines in one location.
In addition to the cycling venues, the Rock Hill Outdoor Center has a kayak launch and over 3 miles of paved multi-use trail along the scenic Catawba River. The sports and recreation mixed with residential and retail make Riverwalk an active outdoor community.
HISTORY, CULTURE AND HERITAGE
Rock Hill and York County have several points of interest to experience history and culture. Rock Hill’s White Home and the Main Street Children’s Museum are located in downtown Rock Hill. Visit the Museum of York County and Historic Brattonsville, a living-history plantation and Revolutionary War site. Kings Mountain National Military Park preserves the site of an important Revolutionary War battle. The Catawba Indian Nation Cultural Center provides an overview and history of the Catawba Indian Nation, the only federally recognized tribe in the state of South Carolina.
CAROWINDS AMUSEMENT AND WATER PARK
Located 15 miles (24 km) from the Novant Health BMX Supercross Track, Carowinds is
a 398-acre theme park known as “The Thrill Capital of the Southeast.” The park is the home to the Fury 325, the world’s tallest and fastest gigacoaster, Drop Tower, Scream Zone, Carolina Skytower, Intimidator hypercoaster, Nighthawk Flying Dutchman, RipCord skycoaster, Carolina Cobra, Carolina Cyclone, Carolina Goldrusher and more.
In all, there are over 50 exciting rides, shows and attractions along with a water park and children’s area.

Located approximately 20 miles (32 km) from Rock Hill’s Novant Health BMX Track, Charlotte’s got a lot for families to see and do. Charlotte Knights Baseball is a Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Discovery Place brings science to life with interactive exhibits and IMAX Dome films. The Mint Museum houses outstanding collections of American, contemporary, and European art. The U.S. National Whitewater Center features the world’s largest recirculating river, 14 miles (22 km) of trails, and one of the world’s largest outdoor climbing facilities. Charlotte is also home to the 150,000-square-foot (13,935-square-meter) NASCAR Hall of Fame.
